How to Make Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

Half Onion

3 Cloves of Garlic

3/4 Cups of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Salt (to taste)

Black Pepper (to taste)

Fresh Basil

Pork

Brasciole

5 jars of Homemade Tomato Sauce or Store Bought

6 oz of Tomato Paste

1 Glass of White Wine

Start by making the Brasciole. Next dice up the onions and garlic and dump it into a big pot. Next pour the olive oil in. Turn the gas on high. Once the onions and garlic have fried for a bit add the tomato paste. Let the tomato paste cook for about 4 minutes. After that add all of the tomato sauce into the pot. Let the sauce boil for 1 hour. While that is going on, chop up a small portion of garlic and onions; about 3 oz altogether. Put it into a seperate pot with 1/4 cup of olive oil. Let it heat up a bit and once the oil is bubbling add your pork and brasciole. Let the pork and brasciole cook for 10 minutes, let it brown. Pour the white wine onto the pork and brasciole. Once the wine is cooked into the pork and brasciole, you can add it into the tomato sauce. You can even add some of the wine, oil, onions and garlic left from the meat into the tomato sauce. Now let the tomato sauce cook for 2 more hours, slightly boiling. Once it is done you can do whatever you want, make a nice dish of pasta with sauce, lasagna or bake ziti.
